The Fox and Hounds is a country pub and restaurant in the village of Englefield Green. Located near the gates of Windsor Great Park, it is a perfect venue after a day’s walk in the Berkshire countryside.

We have a large, terraced garden to enjoy in the summer with a bottle of Provençal rosé while in winter we light the fires and serve comforting casseroles and crumbles. We are open for lunch and dinner every day and we serve a traditional roast for lunch on Sundays.

We welcome children seated at a table in the bar area up to 6:30 pm and up to 7:00 pm in the restaurant. Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the bar area and in the garden.

We serve regional French and mediterranean cuisine as well as British classics, including a traditional roast on Sundays with all the trimmings.

We have an extensive wine list with carefully chosen wines and we are extremely proud of our well-earned reputation for excellent beer.

Opening Times

Monday – Saturday: 12pm – 11pm

Sunday: 12pm – 10.30pm

Lunch is served between 12-3pm on Monday to Saturday

Dinner is served between 5-9pm on Monday to Thursday

Dinner is served between 5-9:30pm on Friday and Saturday

On Sundays we serve traditional Sunday roast from 12:00pm to 5:00 pm and then the a la carte menu from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm
